Fix Assist

Turn a finding into work someone can actually ship.

Knowing something is wrong is not the same as knowing what to do about it. Fix Assist takes a finding and builds it out into a package with the diagnosis, the evidence behind it, what to change, how to undo it, and how you will know it worked.

No card required.

  • Grounded in your own scan evidence
  • Written for the person implementing
  • Rollback defined up front

Prove target

How you will know it worked

Schematic of a Fix Package: a finding on the left resolving into diagnosis, evidence, confidence, affected targets, remediation, rollback plan and prove target.

What a package contains

Everything the person doing the work would otherwise have to reconstruct.

A finding on its own puts the burden on whoever picks it up. The package carries the reasoning with it, so the work can start rather than begin with an investigation.

  1. 01

    Primary diagnosis

A specific statement of what is wrong with this target, rather than a category name or a generic best-practice note.

  2. 02

    Evidence facts

Pulled directly from your own scan data, so the diagnosis can be checked rather than taken on trust.

  3. 03

    Confidence

High, medium or low — describing how well the evidence supports the diagnosis. It is not a measure of how easy the fix will be.

  4. 04

    Rollback plan

Defined before anything changes, because work on a live site needs a way back.

  5. 05

    Prove target

What should be observable afterwards, agreed up front so verification is not a matter of opinion later.

Execution steps

Written in the form the work will actually be done in.

The same package can be expressed for whoever is picking it up. A developer, a marketer in a CMS and an AI coding agent do not need the same instructions.

  • Step-by-Step

Plain sequential instructions for a person working through it directly.

  • Cursor / AI Agent

Structured for handing to an AI coding agent with the context it needs.

  • WordPress

Expressed in terms of the CMS the change is being made in.

  • Lovable

Shaped for teams building in that environment.

  • Developer Brief

A brief a developer can pick up and estimate without a meeting first.

Pick the format that matches how the work will genuinely be done, not the one that looks most familiar.

Where the boundary sits

CiteWorth prepares the work. Your team ships it.

Fix Assist does not reach into your CMS, your repository or your infrastructure and change things. It builds the package, and implementation happens where it should — in your systems, under your control, with your review.

What it does

  • Reads the finding and the evidence behind it
  • Names the affected targets
  • Sets out the change and how to reverse it
  • Defines what should be observable afterwards

What it does not do

  • Repair a site automatically
  • Apply changes without review
  • Act on systems it has not been given access to
  • Promise that a change will move an answer engine

Built to be verified

The prove target is set before the work starts, not argued about afterwards.

Because a package defines what should be observable once the change is live, the follow-up is a check rather than a debate. Committed work carries that definition into a Case, and what was observed afterwards reaches the report.

Stop handing over findings. Start handing over work.

Run an evidence pass and see what a finished package looks like on your own site.
